FAQs

Q: How long is it going to take fix my problem?
A:
That depends on the severity of the issue. Usually, our experience tends to speed the process because having done this for almost 19 years, we’ve probably seen a problem just like yours and know how to fix it without the trial and error others have to go through.

Q: Can you speed up my computer?
A:
Possibly, though there are diminishing returns if the equipment is older. That’s because older equipment will progressively slow down for a variety of reasons and the amount of time it takes to rebuild a 10 year old PC, for example, is far more costly than purchasing a new one, particularly when you factor in lost productivity.

Q: I’m concerned about security. How can I keep hackers out of my system?
A:
We work closely with our clients to ensure that their security needs are met with up-to-date standards. We recently completed a full security review and remediation for a manufacturing company required to comply with DoD standards. In addition, Lochworks has a close, strategic relationship with certified security consultants who are trained to audit the IT security of companies from the inside and out.

Q: How much do you charge?
A:
More than some, not as much as others. In one of the testimonials on this website, you’ll read that our expertise can actually keep costs down because we’ve usually solved the same problem in the past. The best way to find out is to call us for a free consultation.

Q: How soon can you come to my office to fix my issue?
A:
If we need to be on site, we can usually respond the same day, however, our advanced technology enables us to address most IT issues via a secure remote session initiated by and controlled by the client, which allows us to respond almost immediately.

Q: Can you recover my data after a failed hard drive or because of a massive virus attack?
A:
Yes, almost always – depending on the quality of your backup. Lochworks recommends a strong, managed, offsite backup strategy for all businesses.
